Empego Application Requirements

Guide to deploying the Empego application within your environment.

Requirements​

Browser compatibility​

Empego supports Chromium-based browsers like Chrome, Edge, Arc and Brave. Patients can additionally use Safari on Mac for answering follow-up and consultations.

Network connection​

We recommend a 50 Mbps ADSL connection for an optimal performance. More bandwidth might be required if you have multiple workstations or sharing your internet connection for other purpose.

Embedded WebView​

In case of embedding the Empego frames within a host application using WebView or other technologies, you must be ready to maintain the embedded Chrome version binary up to date in a reasonable time-frame. We will make the best effort to support Chrome versions released in the last year by using features that were introduced in that time period. It is important on the integrator side to plan for regular update the WebView component.

Firewall configuration​

If you have a firewall, the following domains will need to be accessible from the user workstation for the Empego web application to works correctly:

  • calendly.com
  • empego.ca
  • fonts.gstatic.com
  • google-analytics.com
  • googletagmanager.com
  • gstatic.com
  • intercom-sheets.com
  • intercom.help
  • intercom.io
  • intercomcdn.com
  • lambda-url.ca-central-1.on.aws
  • launchdarkly.com
  • newrelic.com
  • nr-data.net
  • posthog.com
  • s3.ca-central-1.amazonaws.com
  • youtube.com

This includes the domain itself and its subdomains. Example, for empego.ca, those accesses should be allowed:

  • https://empego.ca - The domain itself.
  • https://app.empego.ca - Subdomains.
  • https://auth.app.empego.ca - Subdomains of subdomains

The protocols allowed should be https and wss. We will not use http unless to redirect users to the https equivalent.

Integration API access and the administration portal​

For backoffice integration api access and the administration portal, you need the following domains:

  • empego.ca
  • empego.dev
  • s3.ca-central-1.amazonaws.com

Pre-production environment​

In addition for the domains above, the following additional domain must be accessible to access the Empego pre-production environment:

  • empego-ca-uat.name

Pre-production integration api access and administration portal:

  • empego-dev-uat.name

Updates and downtime​

Software updates​

The Empego application is a web app so it does not require any action on your part to keep it up-to-date.

Planned downtime​

A banner will notify you in the rare case an interruption of service is required for an update. We will set it at least a day in advance and do those operations off-hours.
